Student arrivals and summer pressures at the UK border

Summer Pressures and Non-EEA students arrivals at the UK border this summer

As you are aware, the majority of students coming to study in the UK from abroad will begin to arrive over the next few weeks.

To assist student preparation and improve the border experience we have created downloadable toolkit with digital messages for websites and social media. We would appreciate it if you could please forward our advice to student travellers prior to their journey.

We have also taken the opportunity to refresh our existing summer pack, which contains general messages and advice all travellers can follow to improve their UK border experience this summer.

Below are links to our passenger education animations.

Our short education films perfect for sharing on your websites and social media.

UK Border Control: This video provides passengers with general information on how to prepare for the UK Border, such as having landing cards ready and who is eligible to use ePassport gates.

UK Customs Information: This video provides passengers with important information on what goods they can and cannot bring into the UK.

ePassport gates: This video explains who is eligible for ePassport gates and how to use them.

As we reach the end of August and the busiest travel period of the year, your continued assistance in sharing our messages through your online channels is greatly appreciated.
