The Quest Standard Guardianship Service includes:

• Acting as legal guardian of your child whilst in the UK;
• Initial meeting and at least one School visit each term with a report to parents;
• Arranging host family stays;
• Arranging transfers between airport and host families and school;
• Arrangements for school uniform and equipment;
• 24 hour Emergency Cover;
• Assistance with mobile phone and SIM cards;
• Guardianship during the Christmas and Easter Holidays;
• Booking flights and travel tickets as required;
• VAT tax at the current UK rate of 20%;

What is not included and is extra?

• Cost of Host Family accommodation, charged at GBP45 for the first night and GBP30 for each night thereafter for full board accommodation;
• Cost of transfers to and from host, school and airports. Transfer and accommodation charges are passed on to parents at the cost to us, without profit uplift;
• School parent's meetings which are charged at GBP30 per hour, plus expenses;
• Administration charge of GBP30 (each event) for emergency or extra accommodation and transfers, such as university visits, illness and suspension from school;
• Guardianship during the Summer Holiday which is charged at GBP100 per month (Christmas / Easter holiday guardianship is included under our Standard Service)

Holiday and Temporary Guardianship

Guardianship cover is effective during the normal school term, and it is expected that most students will return home during the school holidays, particularly for the Summer Holidays. It is possible to arrange for guardianship and host accommodation during these times under our Holiday Guardianship scheme.

Sometimes students ask for friends to stay at their Host Family for a Half Term or weekend break. Arrangements must be made through the Quest offices under a Temporary Guardianship Scheme.
